You may notice that I make lots of references to Toastmasters. Of all the organizations I’ve joined, Toastmasters has had the greatest positive impact on my life. I believe the benefits of membership extend far beyond simple public speaking skills. I think almost everyone would benefit from joining toastmasters.
First a little information about what Toastmasters is for those who are unfamiliar with this organization. Beginning in 1924 through Ralph C. Smedley, the organization has since grown to over 260,000 members in over 12,500 clubs in 113 countries worldwide. Focusing on public speaking and leadership skills, Toastmasters is one of the largest organized systems of personal development in the world.
Beyond that, Toastmasters created leaders. Toastmasters created confidence. Toastmasters created winners.
I joined as a chartered member of the organization that I worked for and served as the club officer the following years and as my confidence grew, I continued serving the district at area, and then district level and finally led District 51 (342 clubs in Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia) in 2009/2010 and finished the term successfully.
Working with over 100 volunteer leaders have given me the immense opportunities in practicing my leadership skills that finally bear fruits at the end of the term.
What an amazing journey it has been!

It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities. ~ J.K. Rowling

Own the Stage “LIVE” Coaching - Darren LaCroix WCPS 2001

How serious are you about becoming a better speaker?

Are you confident enough to hear the truth?

• Michael Jordan has a coach…  Every professional athlete has a coach…
The best professional speakers have been coached… the reason.
You can’t become great on your own. We need feedback from a higher level…to go from GOOD TO GREAT!

• On August 25th 2001, out of 25,000 contestants from 114 countries, Darren LaCroix, was crowned the 2001 World Champion of Public speaking.

• He is author of the book: Laugh & Get Rich, and the co-creator of the: How Professional Presenters can OWN THE STAGE system featured in Toastmaster Magazine.
Think you can’t be a great speaker? Think again. Darren’s first performance and his championship speech are absolute proof that presenting is a learned skill.
Darren studied ten years worth of World Champions contests over and over again. He discovered what separates the person who wins from the person who comes in second. The winners had three points in common.

Want to know what they are?
Come to the program and hear it directly from Darren!
Participants will give 1- to 2-minute mini-speeches and receive instant feedback from a master speaker coach!
Objectives: To give you a champion’s perspective on common presenter mistakes, along with techniques & tips that anyone can use to correct them!
